Let’s jig away.

Cradles
This cradle idea I’ve found in Stephen Churchill’s blog.

It is remarkably similar to the one at Making the Violin under Tools link:

A simpler cradle:

Or this one, even simpler:

Well, it can’t get any simpler than this one (source: Carruthers Violins):

Bridge foot fitting
Well, one could acquire a fancy “redressal” metal bridge fitting jig:

OR just use a sandpaper (or chalk) on the top and some elbow grease altogether, and dragging the bridge across the sandpaper in north-south direction (not east-west):

(note however that this sandpaper is quite ‘aggressive’)
Clamp
In Finely Strung’s blog, there is this cool jig idea for clamping:

Glueing tower

Peg fitting

Peg drilling
User edi malinaric (on this Maestronet forum comment) has made a cool jig for drilling pegs (remember though to make a 1.5 mm hole for the ADG strings and a 1.0 mm hole for the E string):

String lifter jig
Simple yet effective design.

Epilogue
This is not the end of the jig-making journey, rest assured.

Whenever I find good ideas, I’ll post here.
I hope you’ve enjoyed thus far.
